22 hours per week
Minimum English level: A2+
The maximum class size is twelve.
This Global English course is motivational, stimulating and unique. Earlscliffe is a UNESCO associated school.
Students discuss global themes through debates, workshops, project work and trips, not only using their four language skills (speaking, reading, writing and listening) but also importantly critical thinking and indeed both their independent and collaborative learning.
Global English is designed not only to maximise a student’s language development but to do this through using UNESCO’s ‘Four pillars of learning’: learning to know; learning to do; learning to be and learning to live together.
The global themes will excite and extend all abilities, from Glastonbury, climate change and the rights of child refugees to blogging, healthy lifestyles and fashion.
Earlscliffe’s Global English programme is truly ‘global’ in all senses of the word.
All students receive a UNESCO certificate as well as an end of course report and the course certificate.
