Success in the Senior Maths Challenge 2025

Posted: 17th December 2025

We are delighted to celebrate the excellent achievements of our students in the UK Mathematics Trust (UKMT) Senior Mathematical Challenge 2025.

The UKMT Senior Mathematical Challenge is a nationally recognised competition designed to challenge and inspire students through rigorous mathematical problem-solving. It tests logical reasoning, clarity of thought and mathematical creativity, and attracts participation from thousands of students across the UK each year.

This year, the following students represented the school: Freya, Bach, Ema, Eve, Koko, Illia, Deliang, Ruoke, Emir and Brian.

Their collective performance was impressive, resulting in:

  • 4 Bronze Certificates
  • 3 Silver Certificates
  • 1 Gold Certificate

A special congratulations goes to Deliang, who achieved a Gold Certificate in the Senior Mathematical Challenge. This outstanding result qualified Deliang for the Andrew Jobbings Senior Kangaroo, a follow-on competition reserved for the highest-performing students nationally. Competing at this level is a significant achievement, and we are proud to announce that Deliang went on to earn a Bronze Kangaroo Award in the Senior Kangaroo 2025.

Progressing to the Kangaroo round demonstrates exceptional mathematical ability, as students must tackle even more demanding problems under competitive conditions.

Well done to all students involved for their hard work, commitment and enthusiasm for mathematics.

We look forward to seeing their continued success in future competitions.
