Leanne joined Earlscliffe as SENCO in September 2024. She is a passionate advocate for neurodivergent students and works closely with families, teachers, and external professionals to ensure individual needs are recognised and championed.
Leanne holds a BA (Hons) in Drama and Media Studies and completed her PGCE in English, Drama and Media Studies. She was Head of Drama and Theatre Studies at a local independent boarding school, and during this time, she became increasingly aware of how often neurodivergent students were misunderstood or unsupported in mainstream education.
This awareness inspired her to retrain and pursue a more inclusive path. She transitioned into primary education, completing the National Award for Special Educational Needs Coordination and serving as SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) Lead, further deepening her expertise in supporting diverse learners.
