Faculty Lead: Maths & Science
Jane began her career as a mathematics teacher, following the completion of her degree in Pure Mathematics and subsequent teacher training. Her deep understanding of mathematical concepts, combined with a natural flair for teaching, quickly led her into leadership roles within the education sector. Over the years, Jane has served as both Head of Mathematics and Head of Year as well as Senior Tutor, demonstrating her strong commitment not only to academic excellence but also to the personal and pastoral development of students.
As Assessment and Data Lead at Earlscliffe, Jane draws on her wealth of experience to oversee the tracking and analysis of student performance, using data to inform teaching strategies and support each student’s academic progress.
Her strong background in both mathematics and pastoral leadership gives her a keen eye for identifying trends and translating them into meaningful, targeted action. Jane remains closely involved with students throughout this process, ensuring that assessment data is always used purposefully — to guide, support, and champion every student’s journey towards achieving their full potential.
