Toby Mullins

Toby brings over 27 years of experience as a Head Teacher, having led schools across a wide range of educational settings.

He began his career in boarding schools, including as Housemaster at Framlingham College, before becoming Deputy Head at Churcher’s College and later Head at Seaford College. He has also served as Executive Principal of two large secondary academies and led several schools in the independent sector.

He holds a degree in Economics from the University of Leeds and an MBA from London Business School, with a focus on leadership and organisational change. A qualified Executive Coach, Toby works with colleagues in education and business and spent 20 years as an ISI inspector.

Alongside his school leadership, Toby has made a long-standing contribution to educational governance. He has chaired both the Society of Heads and the Independent Schools Council, served on numerous governing boards, and recently completed ten years as a trustee of The Children’s Trust. He currently chairs the United Westminster Grey Coat Foundation, supporting five secondary schools.
