Mr B Campbell

Position:
House Manager

“Our role is to create a warm, nurturing environment that students want to belong to and enjoy returning to term after term — one that enriches their school life and places them in the best possible position to make the most of every academic opportunity.”

Bruce’s path to Earlscliffe spans four continents and three careers. A qualified History and Physical Education teacher, he has spent 38 years as a housemaster at boarding schools across Africa, Scotland, South Korea and now England. Before entering education, he was a soldier in the South African Defence Force and a licensed safari guide with the Botswana Department of Wildlife and National Parks and he brings that same breadth of experience and quiet resilience to everything he does.

Bruce lives in-house with his wife Erica, who is Canadian, and their three Korean dogs — well-travelled companions who made the journey back with them after their time at a British boarding school in Seoul. Outside the house, his loves are simple and enduring: his wife, nature, wildlife, and his dogs.
