ABOUT EARLSCLIFFE A UNESCO School

Being a UNESCO Associated School is an honour that aligns Earlscliffe with a global network of over 12,000 educational institutions across 182 countries. These schools share a common mission: to build peace in the minds of children and young people. This is achieved by promoting the values of UNESCO—peace, human rights, intercultural dialogue, sustainable development, and quality education for all.

Recent UNESCO activities

We have completed the following UNESCO-related activities (amongst many others):

Visited Port Lympne Wildlife Park to study biodiversity and learn about habitat loss, rewilding and conservation
Participated in the TEDI University and Royal Engineering Academy Sustainability Week
Held a COP30 and COP29 simulation event, inviting other neighbouring schools to participate.
Celebrated International Women’s Day with a range of awareness activities
