“Being a smaller house means we are a genuinely close-knit community. Our open-plan kitchen becomes the heart of the house — there is always someone baking or cooking together, which makes it feel like a real home.”
Simi brings four years of boarding experience to Earlscliffe — one 1 as a house manager at another Duke’s family school, and three years here. Her background in biochemistry and genetics, together with hands-on experience at summer schools during her university years, gives her a uniquely thoughtful approach to student wellbeing.
As a qualified mental health first aider, she is well-equipped to support boarders through the ups and downs of school life.
What Simi loves most about her role is being a steady presence for students tackling questions that feel daunting — whether that is navigating homesickness, future choices, or everyday challenges.
